28 mm ACW Gunboats
« on: May 16, 2016, 01:55:10 AM »
Here's a couple of ships in progress.  28 mm ACW.  Paddleboat is near complete.  Near gun is an Old Glory 11 inch (?). 100 lbr Parrott is scratch.
Second ship is based on USS Chimo. Both about 20 inches.
Like most of my projects once the initial build is complete, there is a long pause until they get painted.  Regards, Rob.

Splendid!
How are you going to use them? I've been thinking about including gunboats in my 15mm ACW game...

Those resin detail bolt-heads add that perfect finishing touch.

I joined my gun with pirate swords, and sailed the seas of cyberspace.

Is that lime wood you're using for the hull?

I think the wood is Poplar.  Available in Canada from Home Depot.

Not sure the purpose of these ships. I am toying with a Fort Fisher style amphibious landing.  need some gun-boat support.  Regards, Rob.
