FoA Centurion MkI
« on: 11 January 2009, 09:54:12 AM »
Hi again,

newest model for my upcoming British and Commonwealth Vehicle Compendium (see: http://www.agisn.de/html/british_vc.html).
A slightly converted Centurion MkI in 1:56. I made it a habit to include one "very" late war (aka "What If?") vehicle in my Vehicle Compendiums. For the British it is the Centurion.

Since there is no MkI around in 1:56 I decided to convert the excellent Force of Army Mk III.
Basically only the turret is changed, I sawed of some of the big side boxes and covered some gaps with some blanket rolls and jerry cans.
Works for me!
The crewman is from BAM, the extra stowage from Chieftain.

Oh and before the more historically oriented rivet counters ask, the model is representing the Besa armed prototype (could not find a suitable Polsten...).

A beauty. Now, call me strange, but I feel an urge to play a pulp scenario featuring Miss Marple trying to solve a murder crime in an RTR training camp in Devon...  o_o  ;)
