Naval action using the General Quarters rules last Thursday.  I had the honor to comand his Imperial Magisties Battle Cruiser Kerishima in action agaist the Royal Navy http://fencingfrog.blogspot.com/2016/05/gq-battle-of-dragon-islands.htm

Technically is wrong the prefix wase never used officially, it was often added in USN documents. Technically you need to say:

大日本帝国海軍　キリシマ

In WW2 japanese ship names were written in Katakana... actually according to one of my students navy officers used katakana for everything prompting a lot of screams from her... she worked with original correspondence.

Anyway the ship match up was rather strange...

Nice little "what if" scenario (I'm currently putting together a narrative 1942 campaign for Philippines/Dutch East Indies, so some what-ifs will occur too).
