AWI Camp Picture Heavy
« on: June 10, 2016, 08:44:58 AM »
These are part of a series of AWI camp pieces that I made.
I have another 5 or 6 pieces still in progress.
Everything but the tents is scratch built.
Questions cheerfully answered.

Very nicely done - like the staining on the tents.

Excellent, it would serve well for many periods not just AWI.

Well, it is lovely work.  But it puts me in mind the camp has been long abandoned.  Perhaps its occupants went out to battle and fell, never to return.  All that "tuftage" would have been well trampled if it were an active and occupied camp.  And if my premise is correct, there need to be some local critters about, especially eating up the contents of those fruit laden barrels.   :D

Fifteens Away,   I wanted to show the camp UNpopulated, so that you can see all of the scenery. Rest assured that the troops will be milling about when I decide where I want the figures to go.

No worries, I've decided to think of it as a partisan camp in the southern theater and the occupants want it to be as well concealed as possible.  Just rather overgrown for a camp and as a long time camper I know it doesn't take long to trample stuff down.  But it is lovely work and I'd be happy to have it in a game.  Oh, and I did notice what paths you did include.  Look forward to seeing some occupants when you get to that point - even if they are critters!   lol
