When Northstar became the official manufacturer and distributor for Copplestone Castings, they had a little sale and I went a little crazy. This is just my infantry and artillery elements. I also have some militia, armour, cavalry and a one plane air force. But I'm not counting them in this project.

Ha, you're not the only one.

I have the rifles, webbing, a wash and highlight left before August 1st and 20 figures "should " be completed

This is the force to be completed. The keen eyed will notice that several other troops are painted as well. I actually painted 44 figures but only based 20. The other 24 troops I will base for September as August I won't have very much hobby time so I got a little head start.

Quick Update!

Finished 10 more this month. Was difficult as vacation (yes yes first world problems) got in the way

I think next week I'll start the final rank and file troopers for the November dead line...I want to start the artillery but am worried I could lose/see a decrease in my mojo after so best get the bulk out of the way

Last month I had started the Dare to Die troopers and thought that finishing them would be a nice result for the month. I decided to push along a little further and try to close this AP project out. I've never completed artillery units before so this was a slight challenge but fun never the less. More pictures and waffle on my blog.

Notes: The white glue on the static grass tufts wasn't dry so please excuse the white puddles there.
I know the epaulettes and forage cap bands on the artillery figures should also be a different colour but I'm ok with it.

Just did an inventory of what needs to be done.

2 officers
British advisor
Female companion for the warlord
3 buglers (2 awaiting delivery)
3 standard bearers (2 awaiting delivery)
23 troopers
Machine gun section (awaiting delivery)
Bandit chief
17 bandits
Motorcycle with machine gun sidecar
9 Cavalry (6 still to be purchased)

So 31 figures, 9 cavalry, a MG section and motorcycle MG.

Very doable, IMHO given the extended time frame and how much I accomplished last year.

I will also work on some other odds and ends.

4 New Ray Classic (3) Biplanes & (1) Triplane + pilots for each (pilots awaiting delivery)

Once those are done, I have some Brigade Games/Great War Miniatures WW1 Germans in the queue I'm planning on using for Freikorps. 24 Infantry, 1 MG section, and 1 field gun. Fingers crossed.

So that's the GRAND plan.

Hopefully I can snap a photo of what I finished for 2017 and what I have left to do.
