An ebay trader who concentrates on recasting other people's work has been spotted, so far counterfeits of Fenris, Hasslefree, Blackcat, Ainsty, Ristul, & Scibor have been identified.

One of the manufacturers involved sent out an alert, other manufacturers have confirmed it. The ebayers sales, as seen via feedback, doesn't tally with manufacturers sales.

Other than the quality of casts  . . . . .

Some of them have quite iffy flash when you consider who they are meant to be from.

For starters, Fenris and Hasslefree - both well known for their brilliance in terms of quality control.

I think a thread like this is a good idea.  However, I feel like recasters are widespread on ebay... this thread could get large quite quickly.

Also, he isn't even selling them for cheap.

You know what bothers me the most?  When I see things on an obvious recaster page that I cannot figure out where they came from to get them from a proper source.  Like the ice machines, or the mattresses.  Maybe we should have a thread for finding those?

Got that right. I've neve seen any flash like that on a Hasslefree mini... and I have a bunch.
