Jamaica Inn: UD 7/7 five more conversions(wip)

For my 'Jamaica Inn & Thereabouts' 18th project, a Custom House 'Riding Officer' with his 'two pistols and cutlass'.

The wip conversion is from the Bokkenrijders pack by Dixon Minis.

The mounted rider come with a horse but as I wanted a dismounted version for the foot alternate I'm using some plastic horses from Conquest Norman Cavalry, which remind me of the work of 18thC equine artist George Stubbs.

The original figures were masked so I've swapped out heads from Crusader SYW infantry, while the second pistol added to the left hand is from a Foundry duellist, and both minis have sword scabbards replaced with curved versions in plastic from a Perry Napoleonic Cavalry sprue.





I have another 10 minis and a donkey cart on the go at the mo, while the Inn and surrounding terrain will come from my GoT project.

That's brilliant SI - your skill with the green stuff never fails to astound me!

I have looked for a dual pistol wielding figure for some time, like that, and assume their are no commercial ones out there.

Yeah I'm surprised too. As you've recommended, Foundry has some good minis but spreads them thinly among too many packs. GRRR! I have my eye on a couple of the Redoubt civilian labourer packs that can be converted to blunderbus etc.
