I reckon about 1/2 the views on my threads must be down to me as I go back to review (and review, review, review) what I have done!  :o

I'm equally guilty I keep finding mistakes in my painting that I have to go and correct, then a day or two later I spot another error. It's never ending.  lol

More civilians for you Steve, they look very Perryesque. I think they are Minden miniatures being sold in the UK by Cranntara miniatures :)

Thanks chaps  :). All advice and suggestions greatly appreciated.  8)

Nick: yep, I do the same with painting too!!!

Jeff: Cheers! I've had a play with a few of those. Nick passed me some from an Agricultural Labourer pack and I've modded them slightly to be empty handed (and changed one's head); they are beautiful minis but proportion/size/style are very different from the Foundry minis that are the core of the project so I'm using them as youths (comparison photo shows Foundry, Minden, Minden, Dixon).

Rui: Thanks very much! I've got the Civilian pack on my shopping list (plan to swap farm implements for blunderbuss etc) but I completely missed the Extras..... Didn't think to look there. I may well get the 'Drums Along The Mohawk' fleeing group, but will get a couple of cheaper packs first just to satisfy myself on size.

Once again, thanks all for the interest.  :D

I showed Honest John Lock, the Custom House Riding Officer, at the beginning of the thread but while GSing my Second Afghan War cavalry, I realised that I hadn't put stirrups on the loose horse. D'oh!

The conversion with stirrups.....

That's enough about me, both of you!  ;) :D

For what it's worth, the minis now have a page on my project website

This is a very inspirational thread. And great conversion work and green stuffing!

I wasn't aware of the Bokkenrijders before and they make a great additional for my Outpost Wargames Highwaymen so I immediately placed and order (and included the Dixon bar brawl et al while I was at it).

Thanks. It was Malamute who originally pointed them out to me. They're very nice minis. I have the brawl minis as well... They'll make lovely background 'atmosphere'! It'd be great if Dixons extended the line but maybe they're not well known enough to be good sellers.
