On Saturday 9th July we will be at 'Muster on the Parage Ground' at Stockton on Tees. We will be running a Combat Patrol participation game set amongst the dizzy event of 1938 in the alternative 'Very British Civil War' timeline. The game features a tank called Heidi donated to Mosley by a wealthy German Industralist and the Workers Liberation Front's efforts to prevent it's journey from Hull (where it was landed) to Sheffield (where it may be used to recapture some pits). The game also features a bus called Florence and a flock of sheep called ... oh never mind!

Sally 4th will also have a trade stand.
If your in the North East on Saturday and you fancy a game, do come and join in!

Further details about Combat Patrol (including free rules download) available from http://wargamesbuildings.co.uk/Combat-Patrol

... ps photos from last nights trial game. I will update with photos and write up from the show next week!

'Mosley's New Toy' participation game, went down very well at 'Muster on the Parage Ground' last weekend.

A great time was had by all, and Combat Patrol worked very well for gaming VBCW.

The game featured a command detonated mine (hidden in a public telephone box), a flock of sheep and a bus used as a road block, together with 'Mosleys New Toy', (Heidi, a converted German A7 tank).

We have a full write up of the game, with lots more photos at: http://wargamesbuildings.co.uk/Hobby-Pages/Hobby-Blog/Combat-Patrol-VBCW-Participation-Game-Muster-on-Parade-Ground-2016

Hi Mark,

Needing it for a deadline, i.e. to use in the game was the key!  We had lots of enquiries about the flock of sheep, people were very impressed with them. Our paint job was very simple as I had three 1918 Crossley trucks to paint and the sheep the evening before the show. After washing resin casting, I sprayed it with white primer, then painted faces grey and horns skeleton bone color, then brushed Army Painter Quicktone over the whole thing and in the morning when dried painted the edge brown and glued some grass scatter on. Anyone who is looking for a flock of sheep, Curteys / 1st Corp is the place to go!

I think it will be featuring in many more games!

Cheers,
Chris
