Wars of the Roses Campaign 1455




So, an arrangement of forces on the campaign beginning:

FIRST TURN!:
1. From the main Yorkist host (A) separates the host B.
2. Host A moves in Conisborough and recruit well-wishers.



Yorkists win initiative. The Host B moves: Forwardness 4. Sandal - Conisborough - Newark - Nottingham - Tamworth. Lancastrians: Host A: Forwardness 2. London - St. Albans - Dunstable.



Yorkists activate one level up according to the conditions of the first campaign.
Henry Bourchier, Edward Brooke, John Mowbray - Yorkie devotees. Usually 7+ need
The result: activated - Bourchier (host C) and Norfolk (host E). Yorkists not been able to win over Richard Grey and Baron Cobham. End of Turn:

SECOND TURN!
Yorkists won initiative ... compositions of hosts, I do not know ...)
Total Yorkist in at Host B Forwardness 4 + 1 for roll, Total 5.
He walks. Spend 1 Forwardness to gather the troops.
Walks by 1 in Leicester. Host B – finished.
Declared host A. Forwardness there 3 shot – 6, Total 9.
Host A - Walks. In Lancastrian Forwardness 2+ roll is greater than 9 will not. Host A spends 1 Forwardness to collect troops, followed by a 2: Newark, then in Leicester. Host A and Host B are united.
Now at Yorkist in Leicester an incorporated host A.



The third activation is won by me (the Lancastrians) (6 against 5) and go a host A. 1 Forwardness I spend for a set of troops and I move on 1 to Northampton.

Yorkists still had not activated two hosts C and D which are activated automatically as at Lancastrians of active hosts is not present more. We wait the remained movement of Yorkists...

Activation of Yorkists: Host D in Ipswich.
Forwardness 3. 1 Forwardness on mobilisation in East Anglia. Goes on 1 to Colchester and 1 Forwardness spends for mobilisation in Essex.

The host With has conducted mobilisation and has united with Host D.
Yorkists have completed the Turn.



Lancastrians try to "persuade" their inactive magnates, Talbot and Oxford ... Oxford "9" Talbot "8". Both devotees and enter into a campaign. Talbot forms Host B, Oxford - C. Total second turn is over. The situation at the end of the second Turn:

The THIRD TURN!
The first activation was won by Lancastrians 8 against 7. The host About (Oxford) has conducted mobilisation and has receded to Cambridge. The second activation was won by Yorkists and activated j's main host in East Midlands at them there are no Well Wishers, they have sent a unit of magnates to collect troops in the Western Midlands. 1 Forwardness on movement, 1 on recruiting and 1 on returning to Leicester.



The following activation is won by Lancastrians 5 against 4 (I have not had time to connect York near Leicester and it could conduct though what that mobilisation). Magnates of the main host of Lancastrians conduct mobilisation and attack Leicester. The following activation is won again by me (Lancastrians) 7 against 5 and Having conducted mobilisation in Welsh March a host B (Talbot) through Coventry attack Leicester. The remained host of Yorkists (B), (it is unexpected!) holds London that adds to Yorkists +2 to confidence of campaign, and to Lancastrians on 2 reduces. Now confidence of campaign at Yorkists 9, and at Lancastrians 5. It is not critical, but on the verge... (I have absolutely forgotten the general instruction! It was possible to leave what that the Nobleman in London or to attack Oxford, having connected thereby grouping of Yorkists of host В., and I all was afraid, that they to the aid of York would not come... well goof ...)

This is the first campaign. For mastering the rules. It has only three turns.

Des, you have put an enormous amount of work into this and your graphics are excellent . I should like to see more, well done.

This campaign will hold another general battle. At the beginning of August. And then we start the next campaign, in 1459, there was already 5 moves. As difficult it will be and the development of more options.

Excellent work and a first class description of the campaign as it unfolds.  I love The Perfect Captain rules, they capture the essence of both the campaigns (short and to the point) and the battles (very representative of WotR and often bloody).  The chance of lethargy, perfidy and out right treachery are built in and make the games so much more enjoyable.  Keep up the good work. Can't wait to see the next installment.
