SYW British Infantry for Minden (Blue Moon)

About 18 months ago I bought some 15mm figures from Blue Moon to complete my British contingent for Minden.

With lots of distractions  (mostly Jutland themed) these have just been nibbled at since purchase. I finally got a bit of mojo going to finish them off doing a Battalion a week, mostly to stop me going mad from ship painting.

So here we have the six finished units (unfortunately Blue Moon haven't released Fusiliers yet so they have been temporarily replaced by the legendary 33rd).

The SYW bug is still strong so I have gone straight into 4 battalions of French Guard, strike while the Iron is hot and all that.

Nice units.

That SYW bug is another of those that you just can't swat. The SYW has to be one of the very best periods for war gaming that you'll ever find: Good luck, keep going, it never disappoints.

Why, sir, you cad!  Leaving figures unpainted for twenty years...oh, wait, if that's the case we must be twins.

I agree, SYW is the best period to game on balance.  And I resist as I must.  My substitute will be the AWI but in hypothetical type games - why I have 20 regiments of cavalry for the AWI.  Blue coats for one country, brown coats for another, green and red and germanic, French and a few Spanish, too.  If will power caves and I do get SYW figures it will be in a smaller scale than 15 mm.  Resist, resist resist!

SYW is a bug for me as well, I have started and stopped so many times, I really must scratch the itch!! Lovely work by the way, they really look the part.
