Right I have enough of a force to game with think its time to start trying out rules, hence reanimating this topic. Grimm have you tried it for BCW now you have the source book? looks like it should work well?

Hi Mate,
We've used these rules quite a bit in Aberdeen and have had a few BCW games with them. They work perfectly for this "period" and contain all the components needed to put on a game within the two sourcebooks.

We use LotOW for smaller games but T&T for most BoB, WW1 and our SCW games.

I mean to use T&T to since it allows for heroic deeds and other such elements. My take on ECW3 is that it should contain certain off beat things, not just pseudo-history.  Just that there are Wooster and Jeeves with guns available tempts one to add a bit of humour (like VSC, but not quite as outrageous).

Oh yes indeed I plan on adding in Quirks for effect. There is a wealth of discussion on this at the Gentlemans Wargames parlour should you feel inclinded  :D

@Grimm:So how did you get on with the Very British Civil War sourcebook?

@twrchtrwyth

oh I diden´t see the question for a long time ,very sorry !!

I get it and I like it .
The pictures are not the best but it works for me .
About the storyline I can say it give a non British Guy a good overview about the different Armys and political background.

together with the T&T rules it is the right game for me ,
I also get me a lot of figures wich need some paint now  ::)

Did you have make some more T&T Army list for the 3BCW ?

I haven't seen those I don't think, I'll have a look, a link might be useful to non-GWP members.
