First ECW Troops

My group has decided to venture into doing some ECW battles.  So I painted up a unit for the group to use.

I prefer the look of the ink to the dip- it takes a bit longer to apply but I think it does a better job.

I've looked at the Blog. The dip technique doesn’t give the best results indeed but if the idea is to have "tabletop ready" units as fast as possible then that's fine. Anyhow, it's always possible to return to the minis later on and add details.

Like I stated on the blog. I'm not totally sold on this method.  I think I prefer painting in the basic colors and doing a wash to add the depth and then a high light.
