Continuing on with my Game of Thrones in the future project (that was post here before see:   http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=69369.msg841771#msg841771 )

I give you Clegane industries   G-R-R Type M  Heavy Mech  nickname the Mountain.  In service to House Lannister.  armed with chest lasers, wrist missiles, and hand mounted plasma weapons.

I tried a new technique seen done but the artist (dwartist) when painting the face shield (I think it came out Ok for a first attempt) The house Stark mech pilot was to show scale seeing that I do not have a Lannister pilot ready.

had finally found a toy (Palymation) that would work for this, not to big or small A few hours to re paint it and done.

Barbarella: What's that screaming? A good many dramatic situations begin with screaming...

Interesting idea.
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

Really nice.  8)

Only when I saw the pilot standing in front of the suit, did I realise that this wasn't a 28mm miniature; I thought it was one of the Starship Troopers Bear Suits (now Judge Dread Holocaust Suits) at first! lol

It's a cool use of that toy at any rate.

Great paintjob; the visor works well. I think you succeeded there.

And the Stark pilot in front is fitting, as the colourscheme is decidedly Iron Man, so Tony Stark... :D
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...

NICE!

I also was thinking about this. If you are looking for anything similar there is an RPG setting for FATE called Camelot trigger (found here, among other places) which has some small contributions by yours truly. In essence its Arthurian space opera with mechs. Ever since that I have been thinking of most fantasy settings and how they would convert to mechs, GoT being maybe the most suited. Nice to see somebody else arrived at the same conclusion by a different road!

I think necromunda and rogue trader style skirmishes on planets could be done similar ,each house/family fighting for trade and to be top dog on some backwater planet, with imperium turning blind eye so long as the quota of exports are met,or cannot be bothered to interfere with the local politics, until chaos or a cult turn up  lol

Really great. Love the visor.

I always think the feudal/serfdom stye society warfare would translate really well to games of space combat, huge battleships as 'knights' and smaller cruisers as the men at arms. I've never looked but I guess that's what Noble Armada is about.

Interesting.  When I first started watching Game of Thrones, I immediately thought of Battletech.  lol

I just don't think there'll be anyone left alive in westeros (the way that GRRM writes) for it to get to "the future".

:D

The NOVA's look great. I've got a batch of them to eventually head swap and turn into COBRA vipers.  They're very nice little figs.
