These are mostly conversions using the brilliant GB plastics as a base, and using some hands and arms from the plastic Wargames Factory sets. There was a lot of cutting and gluing involved in getting these poses to work, and some of them I'm still not happy with (although you can't really see the flaws with the models held at arms length, so I guess it's not that bad).
I wanted to go with a drab, dark palette to match my existing Viking warband, but made use of a few 'brighter' colours like greens and blues, with a lot of red on the shields as a spot colour. The LBMS transfers are, as always, beautiful but so much work that I can only barely justify using them. That peel-away plastic sheet they use is SUCH A PAIN, and of course, some of the boss holes aren't the right size, which leads to much fiddling and trimming to get them to fit. But they DO look very nice, they certainly elevate my mediocre painting to a higher standard!
