Finally finished my Frostgrave warband
« on: 24 August 2016, 09:13:54 AM »
It only took me 10+ years to finish these guys (they spend a looooong time in the back of a closet).

Started as Mordheim ended as Frostgrave  :D

Beautiful work! Sharp details, popping colours, lovely. Love those Bretonnians and the old Mordheim warlock with the candles on his back too.

Great use of these GW models. Really fitting for the game. Excellent painting too!

Lovely  ;)

The best thing about seeing other peoples warbands is seeing a completely new warhound model every time!

Excellent.  Among the best.

Question - do you use washes when painting the faces, or do you just layer highlights?  I'm still looking for an effective face painting technique, and some people do different methods in different orders and it's hard to decide.

Thank you for the kind words all  :)

@Philhelm

I use both. First I put on a base colour and give it a wash. Then I start layering up highlights. Sometimes I give the highlights a wash to add variation and help the blends before I add more highlights. Usually I use brown, green and purple washes to add tone too the skin.

They work superbly as a single team. Great color choices.
