Google or Ebay nail varnish racks. They come in clear plastic sheet and take about 40 paints a piece (size dependent) they are cheap and very robust.

Yep, I've been looking since I saw this thread, I'll be doing this route for sure - replacing my old MDF rack.

That might be the way to go - we have a potentially very expensive car repair coming up (a problem with the transmission), so I may have to postpone this part of my workspace reconfiguration, but I definitely shall have a look at those!
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!

I just took a risk on an ebay seller from China...$11 shipped...internationally!  I picked up two.  We'll see if they're worthwhile.  If not, I'll buy some of the nicer ones on Amazon.  lol

Eh...kinda?  :D

The racks I ordered arrived, were a little smaller than I had figured from the dimensions.  One arrived with a cracked corner, and one arrived missing a piece of hardware to assemble it.  So, about as expected from an $11 rack.  The concept, however, is fine.  I'll end up ordering some larger/nicer ones at some point.  Right now the two are flanking my MDF paint rack which I was hoping to replace.  Each of the racks I purchased holds only 9x3 paints (27 total).
