15mm ww2 pre-painted buildings
« on: 06 September 2016, 03:17:11 PM »
Can anyone suggest a site that sells pre-painted buildings for WW2 western/eastern Europe? (US retailers please)

I'm finding myself being bogged down with making terrain and painting mini's and one less thing to paint is spot on for me!  :o

Thanks

I think Timecast are discontinuing their Normandy 15mm line, their site says as much (though their Eastern front stuff is still going).
Crescent-Root has nice 15mm european buildings (pre-painted HDF, nicer than 4Ground IMHO) & US based. For resin The Miniature Building Authority are good - can be pricy but have good periodic sales.

I'm getting the idea that pre-painted 15mm buildings are not cheap!  :o

Thinking I'll stick with something like JR Miniatures or other non-painted houses. Looks like your paying $15+ for a painted house. Rather spend my limited resources on mini's.

Thanks for the tips

That's pretty much the premium you pay for not having to do it yourself - not so bad if you're only picking up a couple at a time, but a bit of a shock if you want 10+ at once.
I'll put in another vote for the TTCombat sets (4-6 unpainted HDF buildings for under £10/$15) I know they're in the UK, but the relatively low pound should work in your favour - obviously postage is the issue.

Those do look nice and are affordable (and look better, imo, than JRMini's stuff)

Thanks

I don't know what their current ranges are, but check Crescent Root Studios.  They have some lovely 28mm stuff and I know they do a 15mm line.
