Thought some of you Pirate lovers might get a kick out of this new set of Shipwreck aquarium decorations.

You have to love that fish tank stuff.  My fish-tank ship wreck is in two parts.  I've never seen yours before... really nice piece.

I hunted it up, and it is the Aquatic Creations 3-Piece Sunken Galleon, which Amazon sells individually by pieces.  It apparently comes in "Medium" and "large" sizes.  Do you know if you have the large, Salibaba?  The three pieces in large size, from Amazon, look to run about $120.

Sure, I will take some more pics this weekend so you can see more 28mm models up close with it.

If you look closely though, I did put a 28mm Wargames Foundry Viking model on the middle section in the picture.

Also for context, that table mat is 4 feet across.

Mike, if you are in the USA, don't bother with Amazon on this one. I got it at a Veterinarian supply web site called "Dr Foster & Smith" and they had it for half that price.

You are correct, the version I got was the "large" set.

Love your blog BTW Cianty. You were the one who inspired me to try out wargaming mats! I always thought they were a cheap excuse for a table and preferred 3D tables, but after seeing your blog I gave them a shot. Now I am addicted! I have mats from 3 different companies with more on the way. I'll do a comparative review once I have mats from all the companies I'm interested in.

I bought all this stuff for a Mordheim campaign I am running in November, I'll post some info about it on the Fantasy boards when I have more time.

Indeed. These aquarium deco pieces are a very good source for cheap (or somewhat cheap as some can be quite pricey) and easily convertable terrain. But you have to be aware that scale is very different and they are often a bit compressed. But i feel Ziterdes has the same problem. This shipwreck comes in a whole range of shapes 'n sizes as this is obviously a popular theme with the fish-tank-crowd. Some of these are even as large as 60 or 80 centimeters and i think those are the ones most suitable for 28mm gaming. ;-)

Important safety tip for the wallet: Stay away from Aquarium stores...!!!

I love Mordheim... still try to run a campaign every year.

Since a bunch of my friends have moved away, we do it "tournament style" and they fly in for a long weekend of gaming.

I'll definitely post more about it when we do it.

Thanks Salibaba for telling us about this piece of décor and the photos with figures.  I can see using this wreck as a model or template to construct a version of the same ship ...before it is wrecked (lots of plans - little time).  You have drawn me into your madness!  What fun!
