Perry Napoleonic Landing Party Greens

Designed for the 1801 Aboukir landing, but suitable for other theatres of operations as well. Love the guy throwing up in his shako.

Oh dear God above. Those bloody Perrys! Now I will have to add these to my Brigade Games landing parties. This will end up being the full landing army!
Wonderful stuff  :-*

That's an amazing model. Love the Napoleonic period but the model count and space needed for a game always put me off. This seriouly has me thinking of buying a few packs though and trying to find some suitable skirmish rules.

This pretty much clinches the deal on Napoleon in Egypt for me!

@RedRowan

This is pretty much an ideal period for Skirmish gaming. All types of actions possible including sections of the larger battles, but also more "off-the-books" encounters like raids, patrol actions, Bedouin attacks on supplies and camps, capture of outposts, and even some tomb robbing and archaeological exploration. I'll be using Sharpe Practice for the battles and Song of Drums and Shakos for really small skirmish stuff, possibly adding Songs of Blages and Heroes for fantasy stuff like mummies. The possibilities are boundless really!  :D

Wonder if they have French counterparts plotted...
It's nothing, sir. Just a burn from a ray gun.

Alan said on Facebook that he does not plan to do a French boat, but that he will add some Légion Nautique to the range at some point. The Légion nautique was an infantry unit raised from shipless crews after the French fleet was lost at Aboukir. The men manned small gunboats on the Nile, but they mostly garrisoned forts and strongholds. They also wore a fetching red uniform.

Thanks for the info, much appreciated. Not very familiar with this campaign so need to do a little reading I think but it does look very interesting.

Not played Sharp Practice myself, did have a quick read of a friends copy of the new edition but was put off by the amount of tables. May be something I need to revisit though as I have heard and read good things about the rules.
