They do look great.
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

Absolutely, really looking forward to those.

With a head swap or two Empress mutton chop great war Germans could work for some Frikorp

Of course some dedicated Freikorp would be pretty cool too.  :D

The problem with the Great War Germans isn't the head, as you find both early and late war helmets with freikorps, it is the backpacks. Most freikorps etc. didn't carry that much stuff with them for local conflicts.

The best news for a long time. I really loved painting up the sailors, and they fit perfectly for bolt action 1919

I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it anymore and what is it seems weird and scary.

I'm tempted to get some for some pulp fun, the sailors look nice although i've always found it annoying that the sailor command doesn't 'stand out' compared to the troopers while the verdenfels have that wonderfully characterful command.

Some mre fascists would be nice, perhapsa monocled old junker with spiked helmet?

I could see many minis from this range being used in a late war german army perhaps as volkssturm?

Without getting too pedantic or political, most probably those would be "reactionary monarchist oppressors of the people". No fascists until at least 1919, or 1922, and then for starters in Italy only.  ;)

That said, seeing those previews makes me regret selling off my Freikorps a couple of years ago. Very tempting.

Some of the Great War Minis packs work well for Freikorps because they have light kit.  Typically, the Sparatacists and other Reds didn't like to wear the Stahlhelm because they associated it with the Imperial Army. Ex-army Reds usually wore the cap with visor (with the cockades taken off) and sometimes the round pillbox type cap (Mutze). Freikorps often wore the Stahlhelm, but there are plenty of pictures of them in the visored cap too (and I have seen one picture of ex-Garde Jagers wearing the Jager shako for a parade in Berlin - but with every issue jacket imaginable, including both the Bluse and the 1914 issue).
