GNW COMMAND AND SWEDISH GUARD
« on: 23 September 2016, 05:44:49 PM »
Varnished some figures I have been working on today. Had a bit of fun using a Warfare Command pack I bought in error to create a couple of Comman bases and finished the first of the Swedish Guard all for Great Northern War. More pictures and comments on the blog of course but a couple here.

like the look of your deep basing and the fact that it just gives a diffeent option for people who are facing basing questions. Do you dip your figures, they look lovely.

Hi Norm. I don't really use dip, sometimes use an ink wash to touch up faces or hair where I have made a minor error or in particular to bring out cow hide knapsack like on the Swedish foot that Warfare and Foundry produce.

More the most part this is all shading. Dark base coat, sometimes leaving a black outline, lighter shading and usually a third even light highlight. Bit like the foundry paint system but using Colour Party paints for the most part.
