May '40 Miniatures available to pre-order from Sally 4th
« on: September 24, 2016, 07:11:00 AM »
The full range of 1940 Dutch Army from May '40 Miniatures is now available to pre-order from Sally 4th Website.

http://wargamesbuildings.co.uk/May-40-Miniatures

These are on pre-release at the moment, and will be released by May '40 Miniatures at Crisis on 5th November.
The Platoon and Army Deal is only available up until 4th November.

Any figures pre-ordered from Sally 4th can be collected from the joint Sally 4th / May '40 Miniatures Trade Stand at Crisis, or will be posted out by us on our return from the show.

I'm very excited by this release, Sander has done a fantastic job getting this range into production, Michael Percy has done a great job with the sculpting and the attention to detail and pose, so I am looking forward to seeing some Dutch armies take center stage on wargames tables across the world.

This is great news - I've been awaiting these with much anticipation over the last few months (still have to wait another few weeks, though!).  The pre-production pics of their planned Landsverk armoured car are very mouth-watering, too.

Indeed. I was talking to Sander earlier this morning and I believe the 'Verk' went off to the printers yesterday.

It maybe obvious somewhere but I didn't find it - what's in the platoon deal?

I've just updated the four photos of painted miniature packs with large scale versions and will update the other photos as Sander has better quality photos available.

The larger images can be seen by going to our May '40 page and clicking on a particular pack, to go to the detail page.

Last night I finished painting and basing my first batch of the excellent 1940 Dutch figures from May '40 Miniatures. Just 6 in the test batch, I have the other 42 primed and ready to go. The figures were a joy to paint, great lines and easy colors. Sally 4th is the UK stockist, we have them all in stock for mail order from our web site and we will be carrying them on our trade stand at UK shows. Our first shows are Vapnartack in York, ROBIN in Nottingham, Hammerhead in Newark. I'm planning to have a complete platoon of Dutch in our figure cabinet by the first show on 5th February.

A stack of new options are being added to 28mm WW2 Dutch armies.

May 40 miniatures are adding Infantry in greatcoats, Marines and Sailors to their range. These miniatures together with the existing range are available to pre-order up until 19th February with savings up to 18%.

Wow, they paint up pretty well. I also like the clear baseing. How do you attach them to the bases?
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.
