Devil's Run Scale Comparison
« on: September 26, 2016, 10:25:55 PM »
Since many users requested, here are some scale comparisons of the models from the Devil's Run: Route 666 game.

First two matchbox/hotwheels cars (left and centre) and a car from Devil's Run (right)

The same cars from another angle: matchbox, modified by me, then batmobile repainted, then Devil's Run (from left)

Old matchbox, pimped up with plastic parts and Devil's Run not-Tankgirl. Sorry for the colors, but it is pretty dark already.

So whats your impression guys? I think, the Devil's Run minis are great, but too small for most miniatures sold as 20mm, especially the old Citadel Dark Future line.

They do however work pretty good with larger 15/18mm miniatures IMHO.

I like the look of the cars and they fit with matchbox stuff really well it seems. That bike though seems tiny in comparison.

I agree with the Matchbox stuff.

The bikes, well they do make some sense, when you see them as 18mm bikes. They are similar sized as Ramshackle miniatures 20mm bikes and slightly larger than most 15mm bikes. However the Dark future bikes are way bigger. Will see, if I can get a decent shot.

And in the backgroudn a matchbox bus, repainted and modified with Ramshackle 20mm "conversion set"-pieces.

Front: Dark Future bike, modified with a Demonworld Troll as biker and Devil's Run trike.

Thanks for the comparison photos. I've just ordered some Caesar Miniatures 1/72 modern zombies - hope they will fit reasonably well for the game.

I've also seen a guy use Caesar Miniatures Modern Urban resistance fighters for Devils Run, looks fine.

May I ask, where you order them? Is there a good (i.e. customs-free) way to get them in the EU? It might be worth a try.

I used Ebay. They're around 7,5GBP including shipping, that's low enough to avoid custom and taxes in DKK.

Well, let me know, how they stand up against each other. IF they're too big, there are plenty of 15/18mm Zombies out there!

Wow, that's really helpful and also very kind of you to take the time to photograph such a variety of figures and scales.

I think they look pretty good with the 15mm figures - and since I've got a drawer full of them unpainted that'll have to do! Also it's post-apoc sci fi so suspension of disbelief is mandatory (and much easier to cater for).

So, it's looking more attractive..... but do I commit!
