Strange Aeons - how important are the cards?
« on: October 03, 2016, 03:51:19 PM »
I guess the question is in the title....

Having got used to rules where cards are very important to games this question comes up when I look at this rules set. I understand the solo cards are important for that but what about the twisted fate cards? How much do they add to the game - and will they be available again to order?

Not mission critical and not a core part of the rules.

They add some cool effects and twists to play, but I would cheerfully encourage anyone new to Strange Aeons 2nd Edition to become familiar with the game before taking advantage of what the cards have to offer.  8)

I second Mr Peabody's recommendation.

Honestly the twisted fate cards can add some unwanted swing- I have found they can take what would be a really tense and strategic scenerio and make it less fun to play.

The AI deck is helpful- Oct15 to Jan 15 is our "Strange Aeons" season here- and I am currently using it to get stronger at playing creatively and recall the rules. They can provide a stimulating game too.
