Where to find a "statue of liberty"?
« on: 04 October 2016, 08:42:27 AM »
Having just ordered some Simians from Crooked Dice, I naturally need a Statue of Liberty to represent the final scene from the movie.

Anyone have some thoughts? Bigger or scaled would be nice; but representative might have to do.

Thanks in advance.

Try googling or Ebay for 'statue of liberty souvenir'. On Ebay you can find them from 4" to 15" in height.

Perfect

Ordered a 15" one, no idea what quality it will be, $60 Canadian in the end. Expensive but I hope worth it.

Thanks!

I make that about 1/120, assuming the 15" is just the statue itself, not the building it stands on.  It brings home how big the statue really is, doesn't it?
Back from the dead, almost.

It really does!

Bloody thing must be massive. It's just representative really for my CD simians. Should work. Hope it's paintable and cuttable.

I've been ordering just random stuff. This is one set of random things. Fun? Maybe.  lol

Thanks!

I've um been on a CD ordering tear lately - hope you don't mind!
Life's been crappy and I want to have some fun.

My 15" one shipped this morning. It'll be big enough. I have ZERO plan on what I'm going to do with all my new toys, it's a wild mash.

I'll post over on the CD forum. I have a couple of weeks off of work and might even paint.

Also ordered a DB5 yesterday finally :)

If you want an idea of "scale", here is a 16" Galactus with some regular Heroclix.
Looking for a set of rules that adaptable for different genres.

Wow, that french one is amazing. Scale is perfect.

I bought one that is 15" from top to bottom, so it will be about half that size, but still not bad.

That french one was 95 + 45, so 140eu, or about $200. Not unreasonable for such an amazing piece. There are  0 disponibles though, so I am spared the temptation!

I paid about $60 for mine. Not bad for a compromise.

That final pic of all the dimensions is a highly valuable tool indeed! Thank you! Hope to visit the statue in 2018 in real life too.
