MDF wagons
« on: 05 October 2016, 05:24:34 PM »
Whilst at Derby World Wargames show last weekend I took a look about the Warbases stand. I was actually looking for windows and doors (which Martin hadn't brought) when my eye was drawn to a cabinet containing wagons and carts. I've bought MDF carts once before (I can't remember who made them) only to be disappointed because when I made them up they were massively over scale and made my draught horses look like Shetland ponies - they went into the bin. However, like everything Martin produces, the Warbases models looked a class apart. I bought one as a try out and I must say I'm delighted with it. I'll be buying more the next time I put in a 'windows and doors' order. ((Horses and figure are Front Rank).

Warbases also have their own casts of horses and other animals.

It's a great model. All I've added is the 'grain' to the wood work and that is very easy to do.

They brought out some new wagons to support the Sharp Practice rules release.
They look good and are easy to paint up.

They are also amenable to any suggestions for new subjects

I have a bunch of these on the wood pile (as opposed to the lead pile  :-)
