Celtos
« on: October 07, 2016, 07:27:23 PM »
I am thinking of starting a new project and I am leaning towards Celtos. Brigade Models do a starter pack of rule book and figures and this intrigues me. So before making my mind up are others on here playing, buying and painting Celtos? Be good to know! :)

I've got a good number of them, and they are rather awesome models! I can part with them for cheap if you are interested, i really don't know much about the rules, but i know that their 80's style doesn't fit well with my other bands. :)

Cheers
Jack

I haven't actually played Celtos, but I have the rulebook. I think the rules are a bit dated, it's basically Warhammer fantasy in loose formation with a D10 instead of a D6(the tables for hittimg and wounding are almost the same). The miniatures, on the other hand, still hold up, at least in my opinion.

Celtos Undead and Gael belong among my favourite miniatures! Vanir are also great, though with with less options.

I bought a bunch of their undead off ebay cheap, I've also got a few of the Gaels, really great figures I plan on starting a Hyperborean campaign with my Celtic warband

I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it anymore and what is it seems weird and scary.

I think it was the Slaine inspired miniatures that hooked me and the art work too.

We all get the itch to start more projects ;).I am terrible for it.Never do get around to starting any after buying into them though :(.

I've never seen the game, but I have accumulated many figures from the line. They are wonderfully full of character, sort of "Slaine meets Masters of the Universe".
