Llardiff at Firestorm Games 15th October 2016
« on: October 10, 2016, 02:17:34 PM »
Chaps (and chappesses)
There will be a TooFatLardies open day at Firestorm Games this saturday (15th October 2016).

http://www.firestormgames.co.uk/

You will be able to try out many TFL rulesets as participation games are being run by the Lardies themselves and a number of experienced Lardettes.
All games are free and whether you are a veteran TFL gamer or a complete novice all are equally welcome.

Sharp Practice 2, Chain of Command, Dux Brittaniarum and I Ain't Been Shot Mum will be available as well as the excellent Firestorm Games shop AND a huge table top sale so you can have a game and spend your pennies if you want.
As if this wasn't enough Meeples and Miniatures celebrity podcaster Mike Hobbs will be there co-ordinating the event and signing autographs.

Should be a smashing day so hope to see you there.

cheers
Geoff

I think you'll like it Jeff. I was put off SP1 by some of the reviews I'd read but I've played SP2 since it came out and I really enjoy it. Just pay attention to your flag cards and what they can do! There was a chance I was going to be in Cardiff this weekend or next weekend; the timing would have been great had it been this weekend.

Had a great time got to play on the Viva Ras Begus table and lost spectacularly but who cares, thanks to Rich for hosting and sorting out this muddled mind that is attempting to learn these rules.
Best thing I learnt was not to take the rules to seriously and remember the game is the thing, enjoy yourself.
Thanks also to the Cardiff lads for the excellent company and an excellent venue ( despite the lack of coffee ;))
Geoff, sorry I didn't get over to your table to say hello, but after the excitement of the game and my partner in crime Romark wanting to visit the shop, I completley forgot  ;D
I'm sticking with this set as my go to H&M skirmish rules as I think they are first rate.

Cheers, Jeff :)
