You could have just asked me  ;).
Splatty was a sneaky old soak and despite what you might think he didn't sculpt every weapon or in fact paint every commission himself. No when he couldn't be bothered or didn't know how to then he'd ask me .

@Mason: That's a great pistol. Very like the first versions of Hellboys gun in the comics. Great paint job on that figure.

Ill see how this one sizes up and post pictures with it. If it's not what i want ill look at the others options. My sculptor has even offered to do it for me.

Biggest issue with these figures is getting more bad guys to fight in 40mm. I picked up the whole set so i have quite a few but id love to get games with them.

I have opted for using Hellboy in the Weird War period for just that reason.

Apart from the obvious Nazi-types out there, I have opted for several different options including a Russian faction led by Rasputin, a Vatican squad, a British version of BPRD and a Haitian, voodoo-style option with zombies using the Baron Samedi figures.
Just drift around the rest of the 40mm offerings in Gotterdamerung and Disturbia ranges for ideas...

...in fact, there are other ideas you can use in the other options too.

BlackBall do the fella in this pack....

...although I cant seem to find him individually.
He works well in 40mm, as I have one, painted by Dr. Falkenhayn, in my Nazi group.

I also have this fella to add to them at some point....

...Ape-X from Reaper.
Great figure and also available in the Bones range if that is your thing (not mine, as I don't like the material).

You might want to see if you can track down some of these ,as they were designed to go with Jim's Nazi and commandos.(all be it over a decade ago)

There is also the Incursion Panzeraffe, similar to the Reaper (though a better sculpt) - but both are quite large, was it something more actual gorilla sized you were after (in which case the Dust ones might be a better choice)?

This is to match in with 40mm scale figures, so the bigger, the better.

I reckons, anyways.....

In that case they'd probably both be fine, the Panzeraffe is 6omm+. While the Dust ones would be a more realistic scale height, proportionately they're pretty big & the 'Dusk till Dawn' style pneumatic spike could easily be replaced with a gun (it'd fit right into the frame).

That Incursion Panzeraffe is a belter. He could easily be a new version of the Kriegaffe :o

I went for the Orc pistol from http://zinge.co.uk. It's a great size for 40mm and perfect for what i wanted for Hellboy. Just waiting on my base so i can start painting him.
