Old fantasy figures painted.
« on: November 13, 2016, 09:16:53 PM »
For those of you old enough to remember them, I recently painted a small force of Aureola Rococo Knights and a dragon.
Pictures are on my blog.
The dragon can be found at http://miniwargamers.blogspot.be/2016/11/its-dragon-attack.html
The Knights are http://miniwargamers.blogspot.be/2016/11/aureola-rococo-knights-army.html

Please let me know what you think of them here or at my blog.
Thanks for looking.
The unending Battle against the Lead Mountain can be followed at

I grew up in Southampton in the 80s the home of Minifigs back in the day. At the club I used to frequent in my youth several people used Minifigs fantasy ranges to play Warhammer. I haven't seen any of those miniatures since the late 80s and they were never painted that well.

You can't stop now, I love seeing what you manage to achieve with these models. Plenty more AR and VotFW figures to work on yet!

I would love to build an army of those Tunnel Elves from the AR range, but as yet non are in production.
There is also a small batch of VFW Orcs of around 30-40 in the Lead Mountain somewere.
And then there are a few Swamp Lords from the VFW range, that also might be a future project next year.

Thanks for the nice comments people!
In my head there is vaguely developing a medieval fantasy setting, where a small town has to be protected by the Knights against a horde of Barbarians and/or Orcs. With Swamp Lords living nearby. This might take a while before it actualy happens, if ever. I could use my Celts plus some fantasy Barbarians as Human enemies. I have quite a few ready painted. but I still have to start on the Orcs.
