I think he's looking good Colin! I really like the wood work on the shield.

If you have a 2MP camera, take the picture slightly further away and crop the pic afterward.

As small as I can get away with, somewhere between 6 &  10 figures a side will do it
In the long term I'll be adding civilians and various other things to use as objectives, also need a viking village and a monestry to raid. I am intending to use the table from my jacobite game

Sounds a lot like my Blood Eagle project - just now painting civvies, and planning to paint some sheep up next (and then I'll get barrels and crates - would you belive, I have none such things...?  :o

Oh and I have a revel viking longship to build as well

Only one?  ;)

I assume that Blood Eagle only has 6-10 models per side?

Can vary a lot - if you go for well-equipped (and armoured) warriors, you can easily make up 300 points within that number. If you go for lighter troops, more will be needed to swell the ranks. Blood Eagle has a completely open points system, so you can design your profiles to fit the models you want.
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!

Finshed another two Vikings and I also have another four 90% done but I decided I needed some buildings to fight around so also built the first one. Paint tomorrow

The red was just a bit of fur I pick up at work
I have also started a church to fight over

Looking great, I like the house- in fact I prefer it to the ones I made :)

Great stuff, the house is excellent :-*.

I like the bareheaded chap, he's a mean looking individual, his shield is lovely. ;D

Nice Vikings, sir.
And that house is rather lush, great woodwork and the carvings are brilliant.
 :-* :-*

Great idea to use the Jacobite board, it should work perfectly.
Make the most of what you already have and get good use out of it.

Coming together nicely!

And you have already overtaken my efforts by starting a nice longhouse! (As always, I cannot keep to just one project and finish it...  ::)  )

One tip for the LBMS transfers: When you first get the sheet, peel the entire sheet of covering plastic off, then lay it back down again. It helps if you peel it mostly off but leave the edge attached so that you can lay it back down precisely.

I do this because over time, the glue seems to set more strongly. I've had to throw out several older sheets of LBMS transfers because I simply couldn't remove the protective plastic sheeting without destroying the transfer. If you peel the sheet of first, and lay it back down, it doesn't set in place as strongly and when it comes time to actually use the transfer it removes a lot more easily.

Great work on your models, and that building looks awesome as well!
