Took a lot of trial and error to get the photo's to look anything like the paint jobs

That is lovely painting.  I shall use those as inspiration when I get round to painting my polar bear for Ice Station Zebra.

Very nice 'dirty white' on those. Nice minis, too, shame I didn't know about them when putting in an order with Fenris just the other day...

I echo the course about the quality of the paint jobs.  But both bears do seem to have an insubstantial contact with the ground.  If you built the snow on the bases it would be possible to fix that just by adding more snow.

HGB Paul, strictly speaking those bears are not anatomically correct as polar bears, but your painting is just superb, CONGRATULATIONS!  

And FifteensAway is right on them being "floating" over the snow... Bears are heavy animals, and should touch the ground as such.

(the Copplestone one is a "real" polar bear, BTW... I suggest you to add one of two of them to your polar family! )
