Plastic Pirate Ship
« on: November 22, 2016, 01:45:58 PM »
I happened to spot this today, whilst out and trying to get in a little early Christmas shopping, and thought it would make a really good starting place for scratch building a Mordheim stylee ship, something locked in a frozen harbour in Frostgrave, or even a landship.

Although it looks really roughly painted in the pictures the hull does have a modest level of plank detail that any decent painter should be able to work with. Overall length I'd estimate to be 10-12", the central deck is probably 5-6" long and maybe 3" wide. There's even a proportionately scaled row-boat in there that's not showing up in the photo.

I have seen some interesting things done with plastic toys like this one in the past.  I am backed up painting pirate ships (more theoretically coming soon from a kickstarter), but thanks for the link.
