A few battle pics - 15mm Normandy Rapid Fire
« on: 26 November 2016, 06:04:44 PM »
One of my friends has been patiently building a 15mm WW2 collection over about the last four years. Finally, today, we go to play a game with it - 6 players using Rapid Fire rules. First timer using the rules, so took a bit of time to get to grips with them, but fairly simple once we got going. And an enjoyable game.

Didn't really chart the game well enough with pics to write up a battle report, but the following gives you a flavour.
All the figures, models and terrain by my friend Mike. I think, considering this is the first wargames collection and terrain he's built since he used to play D&D about 30 years ago, he's done a great job!

No. 1 son and my fellow British commander inspects the layout...

An ingenious L-shaped affair...

Panzer IVs on the move...

British Sherman troop hull down in the bocage...

Tigers cross the bridge...

British infantry advance...

German tanks in the orchards...

Very nice looking game, and second the comment on the nice tanks :)   Good to see Rapid Fire getting a run out too, a bit of a forgotten rule set compared to it's newer "replacements" .....

Really a fine looking table.
Its great when you get to play,
after all the hard work to get everything done.
Hope many enjoyable games are played.
