It begins!
Having done Star Wars a bit much over the last few years, I'm having a rest to see what Rogue One has to offer and so I have turned my thoughts and pennies towards BLAM17.
It all started with the hour browse around Salute and I saw this dinky little Landy and chums looking forlorn in a sale and so I gave them a home. Two years on I remembered my act of charity, dug them out and began painting.
Nice and quick says I, I'll do a few more...
..and them some more came out the bag...
..then the fever began to set in...
..the media frenzy was on...
..and those pesky civilians that always need saving...
Now painting military units is all well and good but I have always craved the realism of terrain populated well with appropriate scenery, vehicles and such. Many internets later, a *cough* small *cough* package arrived with 'some' 15mm cars in...
..nice plastic and a range of colours and slight variations in shape. The sickness had set in hard, I wanted more! More internets later, these arrived...
..some gentle disassembly gave me a truck chassis and an ISO container...
..which I could then tinker into some more varied shapes commonly seen on the british roads. It was at this point that I decided to base my conflict in the war torn conflict zones of England, so I could literally look out the window for scenery inspiration.
Too far gone to care, I internets some more and these came...
..I had only ordered two but got eight so whoop! More destruction yields a bigger ISO container and the basics for articulated shennanigans...
..such as this wee beastie which will have a counterweight on the back as a heavy haulage prime mover.
Nothing could stop me now! But, some
utter cad went and gave me a salaried job so things might progress a bit slower as I work out how this 9-5 thingy works again.
To be continued...
