Who makes saloon doors in 28mm?
« on: 26 December 2016, 06:26:26 PM »
My Google Fu has failed me in locating a set of saloon doors in God's own scale. I thought I saw some metal ones in the past, but can't find any now. Plastic or lasercut wood are also acceptable. :)

Good question.  I've definitely seen them in metal before as well.  Perhaps Knuckleduster?

They were the ones I thought of too, but if so, they don't appear to make them anymore.

Bookmarked for future reference, though I still hold hope for an easier solution.  :)

Okay, just a brief reminder that the iconic Hollywood saloon door more or less didn't really exist in the old west.  Pretty much just plain old doors.  But Hollywood is likely to win this battle, yes?

(Too soon to post any photos but yesterday I visited a display of period wagons that was truly awesome to behold - and colorful.  It was part of the California State Parks exhibit adjacent to the mission San Juan Bautista.  Were sixteen or twenty wagons and so much more.  Wife and I stopped on our way back from our holiday jaunt - which included whale watching[which has nothing to do with the old west, right?  Wrong!  Same trip we visited a place where they did whaling from shore right in the middle of the old west time period.])

Hi White Knight,

you could try to e-mail Sarissa or 4ground. They make MDF old west buildings. Maybe they have some spare ones or could do a one off for you. Sarissa made some bases for me in the past that weren't on their website. Chances are you end up with a lot of door though.

Cheers,

Za

Hey, whose calling me "Debbie" - and when I'm not even wearing a corset!?  Sounds like a shootout is in the making. >:(
