Lord Peter Bromhead British Liason to the Back of Beyond.....
« on: 19 February 2009, 09:06:58 AM »
Just finished this mini , but having looked at it a bit more tidying to do really.

I have decided he will be an agent of some sorts in the back of beyond

Its an Old Glory European Hunter, I did struggle with this one as you can see

And bigger pictures for you captain.

Any help you can give would be appreciated

Lovely painting Dodge. I like your choice of colours :)

Very very nice. Both mounted and dismounted are very nice!

[I suspect when you say Old Glory you mean those from Cowboy Wars! ex-westwind]

Thanks guys, I was definately trying some new colours really, I realised I had not painted with light colours or red much so has a go.

There are some things I am not happy with,

I need to tidy the boots / trouser area, and then re look at where the hat meets the head, as I'm not happy there.

I did suffer from not being able to pick the facial details out this time and it shows.

I have 14 others to look at , two women, Milly and Tilly Eversure constant companions and adventuresses, and their faithful servant Giles St John-Smythe

Sergei and Yuri Ramanov - Czarist adventurers, and agents

Johan Boors - Lord Peters companion

Count something or other (not decided yet) Cossack agent and adventurer

all set to cause mayhem to all sides in the Back of Beyond.

thanks again for your comments, Mal I haven't quite got the excellent finish you achieved but will percevere ( I haven't spelt that right)

I would be very happy with the finish, I can't see much wrong with him, I don't think theres much difference between yours and mine.
At least you have managed to paint the mounted version as well, which I haven't, I've only had them kicking around in the lead mountain for the last three years or so...lol

Thanks , yours has much better facial and trouser and boot definition than mine, that sat as soon as I painted the base the whole lot looked far far better.

The plan is to paint foot and mounted together while I have the colours out, so I don't forget.

so tonight its the brothers Ramanov and I'm going to concentrate on clean and tidy this time using the vital experience gained on this one.
