Some sculpts - skeleton
« on: 02 January 2017, 04:13:32 PM »
I hadn't sculpted any mini for a while but had some free time over Christmas. The first mini I've finished is the skeleton below. I never found any skeleton mini I was really happy with. The Otherworld ones are quite good, but I prefer 32mm minis with more realistic proportion. Anyway, here he is, 32mm to the orbit. I may make another few and also a couple of skeletal dogs.

Thanks everyone for the nice feedback.

He appears to have two sternums.
The sternum is technically made out of three pieces, manubrium, main body and xyphoid. That said, I agree there's something wrong with the sculpt; I'll fix it as soon as I find some time.

Very nice sculpt! He looks unusually happy for a skeleton though, but I see that as a plus.

I like him!  Can the arms be bent, a bit, so we have several of the same mini in different positions?

I like the sternum, actually.  I remember in martial arts learning where to hit on it in order to increase that separation between pieces.  That was the spot.  And the xiphoid process.  Very painful.  Far more so than being hit in the private parts.
