What a wonderful build to see coming to fruition.
The detailing that has been added is stunning, especially those seats, I shall be watching this with much anticipation until you finish.
Whenever that is.

Dam! That's good! Is it wrong to think of the separate pieces as cool flying saucers?

No lol
I actually always wanted to build a flying saucer. Or two. Spaceman Spiff is my all-time favourite err well spaceman  lol I will need a couple of smaller ships anyway.

Here is yesterdays work.

Cockpit detailed. Not much, but with the seats it will have enough cool stuff.

Started working on the bottom. Not much here either, it will not be really visible anyway. I will add smaller details later.

And finally I started to work on the upper part too. This pics shows somewhat how it will look when it's done.

It was not the best idea to glue the sensor bits on this early though... I already broke of one :(
Also I'm pretty sure now I will not make it to the finish line in time but, as one of my favourite captain said:

So I will be building till the deadline and beyond.  ;)

Ahoy!

As I said I'm still working, albeit somewhat slower, on the ship. The port side extension got it's plastic overlay. Next is the airlock.

At the same time I started working on the top as well.

The new plan is to finish it for the time of the Round 5 theme of the LPL and paint a crew for her.

That's brilliant! :-* How did you do the panel lines? Are you not worried about the texture of the Pringles tube showing up when you paint it?.....or are you planning on covering that with plastic card too?

I have a Tamiya plastic scriber II for making panel lines and it's really useful for cutting plastic as well. As at this stage I don't really plan ahead, some of the overlay got panel lines before gluing them on, and the others not, as I forgot to do it... I plan to add extra raised panels to it, so some of the scribed lines will not be seen anyway.
I don't plan to cover everything with plastic card but as I plan to add raised panels, most of the tubes will be covered at the top, and the bottom will not be really visible anyway once on the table.

Very crisp and neat :D
It looks like that on the pics, doesn't it. Not so much in person  lol

Didn't had much time to work on it this weekend, but I put some paint on the seats. I will post pics when I have something worth showing :)

The basics of the airlock is done. With this the port side is done for now.
Started the work on the starboard side.

You can see the hinges for the main/cargo door. And that's all. See you next time :)

I have been checking every day. Has Pringles Space Engineering Company had an industrial stoppage?
I am going to build a wargames army, a big beautiful wargames army, and Mexico is going to pay for it.

I apologies for the lack of updates. I hit one of my usual slumps and times like this I not much good for anything.
It's still on my desk though and I don't plan to put it away unfinished (I have enough half done stuff already lol ).
So the building is continuing but except it a to be at a slower pace.  :)

I have much the same problem at times, I have several projects 90% done! I am sure this is going to look fantastic, and your detail modelling has inspired me.

I did some building today.

The starboard side is finished, apart of some gap filling. I will do that once the main structure of the ship is done.

Started the work on the cockpit/upper structure.

Next week I will start to paint the cockpit, the turret and finish the chairs.
