League of Adventurers - my first league for Pulp Alley
« on: January 05, 2017, 01:40:02 PM »
Finally, I finished my first league for Pulp Alley. Say hello to the League of Adventurers.

For creating the character cards I used Geckos.

I really like the rules and the way Pulp Alley plays. This won't be my last league. Actually, I am planning to create a fantasy campaign using PA.

They look pretty inspiring!

Can you run down what ranges they're from?

nice work - can't wait to see them in action.

@mancu - the witchheimer is from lead-adventure (yes this forum).  i recall seeing ray and nash previously but can't remember if they're artizan, cooplestone, or someone else.

Yes, that's what makes Pulp Alley so appealing...it's very player friendly and just simply fun to play.  The rules are logical and intuitive, and don't get in the way of the fun.  You never feel like you've been screwed by the game, or that you're fighting against an unfair system.  It's designed for having fun, and well-designed for that purpose.

Sure.

Ryder Nash with whip = Pulp Figures (Rugged Heroes)
Ryder Nash with revolver = Artizan Thrilling Tales (Kentucky Davies)
Landon Cooper = Pulp Figures (Rugged Heroes)
Ray Marino = Artizan Thrilling Tales (Rocky O'Rourke)
Prof. Witchheimer = like pistolpete said, LAF (by the way, one of my favorite miniatures. Getting him on the table, was one of the reasons for me to start with Pulp Alley.  lol)
Bobby = Pulp Figures (Rugged Heroes)

Thanks for all your comments.

@rags:
I totally agree. I also like the fact, that you don't have to check the rules, special rules, tables and all that stuff all the time like in many other games. Especially when playing with character cards, you can focus on the game and not on messing around with numerous rule books.

Not to mention the price point is reasonable too.  Fun, easy, quick (about an hour) - pulp alley is just about the only game i have any interest in playing.
