Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare
« on: 12 January 2017, 07:42:00 PM »
The latest Call of Duty game moves the action (further) in to space, following conflict between the Earth based UNSA and the millitantly not Earth based Settlement Defence Front on planets, moons and in deep space across the solar system.

I think it's great! The signal player campaign features flying space fighters and zero G combat in suits in addition to more conventional levels and I find the multiplayer oddly more fun when the arctic research station map is supposed to be on Jupiter's moon Europa, even if it makes no actual difference to the gameplay.

And I think the art design is really good. The space fighters look kinda like F-35/F-22s and the suits/guns/robots were in part designed by the guy who did the exos for the Elysium movie.

So... I dunno. I think it's great.

I'll have to try it. The last COD I played was Modern Warfare 2 and Ghosts. Didn't like the Advanced Warfare ones. But the story of this one looks great and the design of all the gear helps :)

tempted. I loved MW2 and 3 on pc, but the inability to have your own server and kick idiots and cheats ruined it for me.

Enjoying the cut scene movie on YouTube right now, in fact. Any ideas for suitable 28mm minis?

The Afterlife range from Anvil seems to be a good bet.

The game has an interestingly sorta retro look with bulky space suits covered with ribbon cables.

So I was thinking in 15mm these old Traveller chaps currently sold by RAFM.

With the top two providing SATO troops and the bottom one the SDF

SetDef use a lot of robots as well:-

I think White Dragon is calling out to be used for this.

Good call, Mal. Those are perfect - even moreso that I have them in the painting queue.
