Nice figures JB. Your collection is starting to look seriously good ;D

I have a similar mix. GW Scorched Earth over a black undercoat, then GW Bestial Brown and finally a little bit of flesh mixed in for high highlight.

I recently tried a (for me new) method, which actually worked quite fine.

The model should be undercoated black
dark flesh (VMC) is used for all the skin except shaded parts
A liberal wash of (GW) Badab black is applied on the miniature
Dark flesh is used for highliting.

The end result will be something like:


Though it looks somewahat better IRL then it does on the pictures
Why aim for gold if you can get lead?
