I really like the stowage and the paintjob on your Puma! I'm planning to add one to my Germans too.

Another "long time since posting" warning.

A while back someone asked about the dimensions of the Coyote walker from Warlord Games, so I dug out the similar Jackal jump walker.

And then I put it away again.

Well now I have started its assembly.

I decided some parallel construction would save time so pinned and greenstuffed the legs to the front body. While that was setting, I added the arms to the rear body (there are some balance issues to the completed figure). When they were set, I glued them together.

Unfortunately this has led to two problems:
First it is not possible to add the thruster vents to the legs (the arms are too close).
Second, there is a gap requiring filling down one side and at the top.

Not insurmountable, but annoying (it would have been easier to fill it I had left the arms off.).

Now, to find those Westwind paratroopers.

So, after rather a long time, I have painted the first of the Westwind SOTR paras.

He is armed with the Assault Bren.

This box set was bought on their first appearance at Salute, quite a while back.

I dug out some of my ancient Project X 1/48 Weird War 2 figures from the back of the display cabinet.
British powered suit, German powered suit and a British infantryman in a very odd coloured uniform.

British infantryman.

German powered suit.

British powered suit.

Opposing powered suits.

Love the power suit guys! I have some for my Americans, but the Germans are getting robots, and the Russians are getting ape men!

So I have "finished" the first squad of Westwind SOTR British Paratroopers.

All five are armed with Assault Brens.

One of the problems with airborne assaults is a lack of heavier firepower. These Paras are being backed up by an M5A6 Jackal.

The Jackal still has some work to finish.

Nice work!  You should come over for a game and fight with my Germans and their armored fighting suits!
Remember the patina!

Thanks.
Very nice, I particularly like the Jackal :)
I bought it by mistake, and the only thing I could think of to use it for was as an air-drop vehicle.
