Swashbuckling Pulp Alley Pirate Action
« on: 24 January 2017, 03:37:40 PM »
Last week Doug and I had a great Pirate game using Pulp Alley.
The black powder rules (spending an action to reload), was really the only rule change that was needed to give it the period flavor.

The games was a lot of fun. We had a brown bear and a wold that were wandering 'perilous areas'.

I've got a full write up and loads of photos on my hobby blog: http://wargamesbuildings.co.uk/Pulp-Alley-Pirates

Excellent! Love your terrain. Looks perfect for some pirate action.

How did you like the black powder rule. We have been playtesting that idea some more for the upcoming Lemurian campaign to make it a bit more primitive.  ;)

I really liked the black powder rules, they worked very well and such a simple change but really changes things when you know you only have one shot and then need to spend an action to reload. (of course some pirates could have a pair of pistols!)

We put a puff of cotton wool smoke on the table for effect when a character had fired.
