SP2 Dawns and Departures, anyone?
« on: 26 January 2017, 08:00:41 AM »
I see that the Lardies have recently published a campaign supplement for Sharp Practice 2 called Dawns and Departures.
Wondering if anyone as read/tried the system - and what you think of it?

Prof Challenger, I presume?

I have it and have read it. Not tried it yet.
It's a very nice book chock full of campaign ideas. It lets you play a 'ladder' campaign (basically just a linked series of games) or a full map campaign with secret objectives.
It's also got a couple of new scenarios as well.
It does for SP what 'At the Sharp End' and the pint sized campaigns do for Chain of Command
If you like Sharp Practice and want to be able to link the games together, then get it. It's a bargain.

As per Steve and second what he says.
Great ideas for building narrative campaigns and some simple supply and screening rules.

Could be used for any rules system really as a scenario/campaign & terrain generator.

I have actually just posted the first part of the set-up stage for a Peninsular War campaign we are about to get cracking on.  You'll find it here:

Just bought it and reading through myself and first impressions are good. Sharp Practice is a firm favourite already so this should be useful.
