The end of Matakishi's Tea House
« on: February 02, 2017, 08:54:56 PM »
After 11 years and over 4.5 million visitors I will be pulling the plug on www.matakishi.com in July when the current funding cycle ends.

The new home for the Tea House is www.matakishi.net where all my new stuff will be posted (starting with Plains Indians in the next couple of days) and where most of the old stuff from the original site will live on.

I will be transferring as much stuff as I want to keep over the coming months. Some stuff won't make the cut and will be left for the wayback machine to archive.

Please pop along to the new site to have a look (it's a bit empty at the moment but the framework's in place) and please add it to your bookmarks as it will b a while before google starts pointing people towards it. I'm going to post announcements as I transfer projects across in case they're new to some people- my apologies to the old hands who have supported me from the start, you'll have already seen it all.

I'm also slightly embarrassed by the click-bait title of this thread but I couldn't resist  ::)

Good to see you're still at it.

Bad Matakishi! No posting clickbait-tastic headlines!

Glad to see you're continuing, and sometimes you just need a refresh and restart on a website - I did the same to my gaming site about five or six years ago.

I,d like to echo the last sentiment from A. h.  Yours was one of the blogs which brought me back into gaming after a long hiatus, the other being the Edinburgh blog , Angus Knotsum .     I loved the Fr & Indian Wars terrain boards in particular. It's nice to say thanks from the great silent sea of watchers and readers , I hope you continue for a long time to come.

Ah, have I missed an "in joke " , is it April 1st ?  Silly me. Still, my sentiments were genuine.
