What a beautiful setting!  So much to see.  Love old Johnny Quest!  Do you have a Doctor Zin?

Thanks everyone!  :D

Horrid, I do have a Dr. Zin proxy - like all my JQ figures I've completed so far, it has been a real challenge to get ones that I felt really captured who the characters are. Now I know that a lot of that is just me wanting that perfect figure  :) and always finding some issue with each one, but the Zin figure for instance, it really fits more of a Fu Man Chu ala Christopher Lee than the cartoon version of Zin.

Brilliant set-up and attention to detail! I really like the suitcases and boxes. :-*

Looking forward to reading this AAR.

Would you recommend the 4Ground Hotel?

Whatever you have chosen I'd love to see it.  I'm basing this on the models you have already shared in the thread :) .

Thanks guys!  :)

Would I recommend the 4Ground Hotel? Hmmm, well that's a tough one... I really think it depends on your games honestly. It's a pretty big building by itself, and then if you grab all 4 kits designed for the complex, like on my table, obviously you're looking at something even bigger. I'm a sucker for the 4Ground stuff because it's easy to build and ready to hit the tabletop immediately after - but I like to take all my buildings to the next level by adding more details both on the exterior and interior, using different paint schemes, etc. etc. etc.

I've used the hotel complex for more pulp style games - I did use it once for a commando type raid WWII game (think the movie 'The Dirty Dozen') where I had a team of Allies infiltrate the hotels to eliminate as many German generals as they could. As well as using it for The Chicago Way as a gangster hideout (think John Dillinger at Little Bohemia) for a big shootout. I have an underground lair WIP so the complex will be the base of operations for an evil villain ala James Bond too. It's definitely seen way more work in a pulp/movie setting than a historical setting.

The biggest thing I had my mind set on doing with the complex was a Ghostbusters game. I had it all planned out and ready to go. A haunted hotel... perfect, right!! http://saturdaymornings13.blogspot.com/2016/09/the-next-big-project.html  http://saturdaymornings13.blogspot.com/2016/10/ghostbusters-updates-and-wips.html but then thought about how I got the stink eye last year at Historicon when just for fun I threw the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man on my Chicago Way table http://saturdaymornings13.blogspot.com/2016/07/historicon-2016.html - non historicals at Historicon don't always mix well with the veterans of the convention  ;)

So, apologies for the long winded answer  ;D but, YES I would recommend it IF you think it'll work well with the games you have and what your trying to do, as well as in your budget  :D

Looks really good, is that dolls house furniture you are using in the rooms, excellent additions.

Solid plan to build for multiple stories when you put such effort into your terrain.  The Dirty Dozen story sounds awesome, and a crime story would be pretty sweet too.  I'm trying to do a crossover set covering modern to post apocalyptic and hope it turns out half as well as what you made.

@ivor13

The bulk of stuff I've put together so far in on my Walking Dead thread in the Post-Apocalyptic Tales section.  I have a couple pieces in my North Atlantic Wasteland thread for This is Not a Test but doesn't have much other than figures.

http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=96929.0

The plan is to build quarters of a "neutral" board that could accept more radical terrain installments by swapping out quarters.  Any primary landforms should be sizable enough that they could receive installments/buildings/forests anywhere allowing me a completely modular modern set up.  That's the plan anyway  :).  If I do a mk 2 somewhere down the road I would plant the thing on foam cladding rather than thin foam board so I could "dig" deeper for depressions and other negative space landforms if I add some in.

Wow. That's quite a set up. It looks great, especially the interiors.

Am suggesting to Bob Murch of Pulp Figures that he take on a "not Jonny Quest" project. He says he's thought about it.

Again, much thanks for the comments  :D

The first chapter in the campaign has been played, just need to organize the AAR over the next few days , so stay tuned for that lol

Warren, that would be absolutely fantastic!!!!!! I had actually mentioned that about 3 years or so ago I think, and actually put up a post about it on TMP and I just got destroyed by certain individuals stating Quest wasn't pulp - one of the reasons I always frequent LAF more and never post anything over on TMP. Anyway, I think Bob would be the perfect guy to bring the Quest gang to the tabletop  :)
