Hi,
I've been playing miniature wargames for ages, with varied interests and scales, mainly 15mm and 28mm with the later gaining the upper hand lately (maybe this is related with me ageing and the consequent loss of eye sight

).
For me the hobby includes not only the gaming component but also the historical research (if applicable), painting and modelling and the healthy interaction with my playmates (as a personal rule I prefer to spend a few hours having fun playing a game in the company of friends, than to win it at all costs). Real life is competitive enough for me.
I'm part of a wargames association in Lisbon named AJSP. We organize regular tournaments of L'Art de la Guerre and SAGA, together with other external wargaming events, usually in cooperation with entities like museums and town halls. You can find information about our activities at
https://www.facebook.com/AJSPortugal/. Most of the information is in Portuguese, which is always a good choice as a second language

.
Apart from the organized events, we meet frequently on weekends for occasional games in many periods, historical or not so historical.
I intend to follow closely some of the ongoing topics in the forum, and contribute whenever possible.
Thanks for having me here.
Cheers
