« on: February 23, 2017, 10:24:31 PM »
ok guys, so last week we tested the new Ganesha fantsy skirmish rules with the author. Here's the report (for once I managed to translate it in English…)

I'm more interested in hearing about the rules and mechanics. How does this differ from Song of Blades and Heroes?

+1!

And another question: WHY the same author would produce another set of fantasy skirmish rules?

The same reason anyone writes any rules, to capture the element you want.
Maybe he wanted a more indepth set, maybe he wanted one focused on fighting technique, weapons to be important, etc.

The better question: Why would anyone write one set and then quit?

I understand that Andrea wants to test other possibilities but I am a bit disappointed a didn't develop more SoBH wit rules for dwarves elves orcs etc... Well maybe I'll like the new rules too lol

Well you can make unit profiles for whatever you like in SoBaH but I'm guessing you missed Hammer and Forge?  ;D

Also I'm sure there are plans for similar supplements for other races.
